About

DSC00000    Hi everyone, my name is Onetha Middleton and I am here to talk about how to love raw uncooked plant foods.

Here is my story.  About 10 years ago I was eating all the wrong foods.  I was constantly taking stomach antacids and trying the next fad diet.  Nothing worked and it got worse each year.  I have 3 sons and after my last son was born I had gained almost 75 lbs.  He is now 17 years old so it took almost that long for me to get right and finally take charge of my body and what kind of food I consumed.

I first experienced a need for change in my eating habits when I ordered two large hamburgers with all the extras; well I got physically ill.  My heart started racing and said a little prayer asking for a way in the right direction.  I started researching and reading any book talking about eating better.  Well I came across a book by Susan Powter called “Stop the Insanity”.  One part of her book helped me learn about the effects of sinus mucus after eating dairy products.  I tested the effect on my youngest son giving him 2% milk.  He has since stopped drinking any milk and is very, very healthy.  Susan is my mentor as I agreed with a lot of what she said.

Ok, at first I gave up red meat than whole milk.  I was sure it was better to eat low-fat or non-fat milk. I was still shopping in the ‘regular’ stores for my family food.  I started noticing lots of soy milk, so I tried that but still did not feel right.  Then within the last few years noticed so many soy products on the market; I was a happy camper (or so I thought)!   I was making progress eliminating red meat but not losing  weight as much as I wanted.  So I did more research and reading more books.

By this time I started buying my food from organic grocery stores.  I know everybody says it is more expensive but the key is once you start eating raw foods you drop the junk food cravings so your food bill is lower. Speaking of junk food, boy was I a junkie for any food that was sweet or salty.  I was retaining water in my body by the salt; got a bloated stomach by the sugar and swollen ankles.  I also stopped buying foods that had high fructose corn syrup as an ingredient and changed from using white salt.  Speaking of salt you should try Himalayan crystal salt.  It is a sea salt and has no side effects.

Now I have a flatter stomach and my ankles are normal.  Just think all of those body issues changed by changing the types of food I ate.

About 2 years ago I became interested in eating the vegetarian way and was very skeptical about eating the vegan way because I thought it was too extreme.  So that lead me to raw vegan food.  Well I tried out several recipes and boy I was hooked.  My energy was like an electric charge, my skin got blemish free and softer.

There are many books on the raw vegan way of eating today so there is no excuse for anyone to stay unhealthy.

Thank you for viewing my page and I hope I can help you enjoy loving raw foods.  In biblical times they did not have all the preservatives and artificial ingredients we have today and they lived longer.  I intend to help as many people as I can to learn to love raw food and eat natural plant foods grown from our God-given earth.

~Peace to you all

  1. Hey – nice website, just looking around some blogs, seems a pretty nice platform you are using. I’m currently using WordPress for a few of my sites but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it?

  2. Hello. This is kind of an “unconventional” question , but have other visitors asked you how get the menu bar to look like you’ve got it? I also have a blog and am really looking to alter around the theme, however am scared to death to mess with it for fear of the search engines punishing me. I am very new to all of this …so i am just not positive exactly how to try to to it all yet. I’ll just keep working on it one day at a time Thanks for any help you can offer here

  3. Excellent article, I am regular visitor of your website, keep on writing these great posts, and I will be a regular visitor for a long time.
